Trash & restoring projects

Deleting a project doesn't destroy it — it moves it to the Trash for 7 days. The site goes offline immediately, but every bit of data stays in place, and one click brings it all back.

While a project is in the Trash

The project appears in the Trash section of the dashboard sidebar. Opening it shows when it will be permanently deleted, and offers:

  • Restore — the site comes back online at its old address with everything intact: pages, data, settings, chat history.
  • Export — you can still download the complete project from the Trash. If you're leaving, take your site with you first.
  • Permanently delete — skip the waiting period and destroy the data now. You'll type the project's name to confirm, because there is no undo after this.

Two honest details:

  • Trashed projects still count toward your storage allowance until they're gone — the data is, after all, still there.
  • After the 7 days, the data is destroyed automatically and cannot be recovered by anyone, including support.

When it's not you deleting

If your trial expires or a payment fails, projects are locked, not trashed — offline but fully intact, with no 7-day clock running. Upgrading (or fixing the payment) brings them back. See Plans, billing & credit.
